Giving youth in Hokianga access to a wider range of education.

What We Do

Hokianga Awhi Trust began with a simple mission: to give our youth a step up in life, by supporting and preparing them to thrive through education, sport, life and daily structure that they would not otherwise have access to.

The harbour and the many streams that flow in and out of the Hokianga symbolise our mission to provide strong educational opportunities for local Tamariki and Rangitahi to attend boarding school around Aotearoa.

Just as the streams flow outward and explore the Hokianga and back again, they never lose their connection to home.

Help us support more tamariki

This year (2025) we are supporting 3 rangatahi, with 2 more coming on board in 2026.

There are so many young people in the Hokianga who could thrive with the support of the Trust — but we can only say yes when we have the resources to walk alongside them.

Your donation goes directly toward helping a young person step into new opportunities — often far from home — with the support they need to succeed.
